Professional CDL Class A Truck Operator

PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-operation assessments of the assigned vehicle.
- Safely navigate and manage a commercial motor vehicle (tractor-trailer combination) in accordance with established work protocols while adhering to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Transport municipal waste or recyclable materials from designated collection points to processing facilities and ensure proper disposal of loads.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with all clients encountered during the route.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Capability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend/twist, and lift/carry as required.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 lbs.
- This role involves working both inside and outside the vehicle, with exposure to various weather conditions including heat, sun, rain, snow, and wind.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possession of a Class A CDL and a minimum age of 22 years.
- Current Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Successful completion of drug and alcohol screening.
- Ability to pass a driving assessment.
- Demonstrated history of punctual deliveries and dependability.
- Stable employment record with an average of one year or more at positions held within the last four years.
- No DUI, OWI, reckless driving, or significant moving violations within the past three years.
- Fewer than two incidents in any 12-month period.
- Fewer than three incidents in any 36-month period (an incident is defined as a moving violation or preventable accident).
- No more than one preventable accident in any 36-month period.
