Job Overview

Job Summary

The Sanitation Technician will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment in our food processing facilities. This includes cleaning production equipment, machines, and work areas, as well as handling and preparing cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, and chemical concentrations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and understand chemical labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to ensure proper handling and use of chemicals.
  • Create and maintain a clean, efficient, and positive working environment.
  • Promote health and safety in the workplace, adhering to Local Bounti's Food Safety & Quality Assurance Programs.
  • Display good work ethic, resourcefulness, and organization in daily tasks.
  • Understand and follow Stand Operating Procedures and Inspection Regulations.
  • Ensure quality control and efficient workflow in all areas of responsibility.
  • Document and verify activities supporting Local Bounti's Food Safety & Quality Assurance Programs.
Requirements
  • Embody Local Bounti's Core Values and support the safety culture at the facility.
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to problems and challenges.
  • Ability to read and understand English.
  • Ability to work in a wet environment and wear appropriate protective equipment.
  • Work independently and be willing to learn new methods and procedures.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED certificate preferred.
  • Produce production experience a plus.
Physical Demands

The Sanitation Technician will regularly stand, walk, and talk or hear, frequently climb or balance, and regularly sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will regularly work near moving mechanical parts and be exposed to vibration, working in outside weather conditions and environments both hot and cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
