We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapy Technologist 3 to join our team at the University of Miami's Department of UMHC-SCCC Radiation Oncology. As a key member of our radiation therapy team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our department.
Key Responsibilities- Administer radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and precision in every step of the process.
- Position patients for treatment, reviewing prescriptions, diagnoses, and patient charts to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and files, including radiation dosages, equipment settings, and patient reactions.
- Monitor patients' clinical progress, using clinical decision-making skills to recognize and report any signs of complications.
- Follow radiation safety protocols, adhering to principles of radiation protection for patients, self, and others.
- Associate degree in a relevant field.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Accreditation.
- Florida Radiation Therapy license.
- CPR Certification.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
