Position Summary

The Cloud Operations Specialist will be pivotal in architecting, executing, and sustaining our cloud infrastructure. This role demands close collaboration with development, operations, and security teams to guarantee the smooth deployment, scalability, and dependability of our applications and services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and oversee scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure utilizing platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
  • Monitor and enhance system performance, reliability, and security.
  • Work alongside the development team to uphold best practices for infrastructure management.
  • Act as Software Code Release manager for the IT department.
  • Manage container orchestration platforms effectively.
  • Implement and oversee logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to aid in incident management resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support production environments.
  • Stay informed on trends and advancements in DevOps and systems technologies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, or ELK stack.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are preferred.
  • Experience with serverless architectures and microservices is preferred.
  • Understanding of network concepts, security best practices, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding operational database information.
