Job Overview

The J.R. Simplot Company is a leading global food and agriculture company with a strong commitment to sustainability and compliance. We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Compliance Associate to join our team in Boise, Idaho.

About the Role

This key position plays a critical role in ensuring the stewardship and management of bioengineered products and processes within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, reviewing, and managing stewardship and compliance documents and records, as well as administering company policies and practices related to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with internal study directors and external collaborators in data management and quality assurance to comply with company, USDA, EPA, and state regulatory agency requirements.
  • Assist in the management of field and product data for shipping, planting, harvesting, inventory, and disposition of biotech products across multiple locations.
  • Conduct regulatory compliance and stewardship training for study directors and collaborators, communicating updated requirements as needed.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts to optimize process efficiency for compliance systems.
  • Implement and manage quality management tracking and documentation systems to support the commercial launch of biotech crops.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a 4-year college or university in a biological science, agriculture, or related field.
  • Prefer experience in quality assurance, identity preservation, and/or quality management systems (e.g., Excellence Through Stewardship, ISO, HACCP).
  • Familiarity with government and/or state regulatory processes for biotechnology products.
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of products, particularly Excel, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint, with proficiency in database and/or spreadsheet use.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a diverse team environment to meet dynamic deadlines and diverse customer needs.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently and motivate others in a diverse, team-based environment.
  • $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, with up to 25% travel required.
