Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for encounters and assist clinicians in delivering care
  • Maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies at an outpatient care site
  • Perform clerical and scheduling duties in conjunction with patient contact
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant program graduate preferred
  • 1-2 years of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in a physician practice or outpatient clinic setting
  • 1 year of secretarial or administrative experience, including medical terminology
Preferred Qualifications
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association
  • Current nationally accredited Medical Assistant Certification/Registered, or Current Vermont State LNA License
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to report patient care observations and deviations from patient's plan of care
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of infection control and venipuncture skills desirable
