Faculty Position in Medical Physics

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a medical physicist to join its physics faculty in the Department of Radiation Oncology. The successful candidate will have a PhD in medical physics, engineering, or a related physical science, and certification in radiation oncology physics by ABR/ABMP or eligibility for certification is highly desired.

About the Department

The Department of Radiation Oncology at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is a leading institution in the field of pediatric radiation oncology. Our department is focused on research and treatment of pediatric patients with an emphasis on brain, musculoskeletal, and solid tumors. We have a strong interest in proton therapy and developing new methods of targeting, treatment planning, delivery, and outcome modeling.

Our Facilities

We have a state-of-the-art Proton Therapy Center, equipped with the Hitachi PROBEAT-V System, including two gantry rooms and a fixed beam room. Each room has a high-precision patient positioning, volumetric CBCT image-guidance system and a dedicated pencil-beam scanning nozzle. Video-based surface image guidance is also available. Our department has 45,000 square feet of clinical space that includes a dedicated clinic, treatment planning, therapy, and anesthesia support.
