Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Internal Communications Development:


Formulate and execute internal communication strategies that encompass a detailed plan outlining objectives, key messages, target demographics, communication methods, and evaluation metrics.

Ensure that internal communication aligns with broader business goals and supports various departmental initiatives.

Assess and analyze communication effectiveness through key performance indicators (KPIs) such as employee feedback, engagement surveys, and communication analytics to refine internal communication efforts.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve internal communication effectiveness and employee engagement.

Interdepartmental Collaboration:


Act as a liaison among departments, including HR, Talent Acquisition, organizational change management, and operations, to guarantee consistency and alignment in internal messaging and initiatives; design and implement programs to enhance employee morale, recognition, and participation.

Facilitate change management by effectively communicating organizational changes to reduce resistance and confusion, collaborating with HR and leadership to create communication plans for significant transitions.


Content Development and Management:


Create engaging and informative content tailored to diverse internal audiences; produce and distribute internal communication materials, including newsletters, memos, emails, and intranet content to keep employees informed about company news, initiatives, policies, and events.

Assist senior leadership with internal communications, including speechwriting, presentation preparation, and message delivery.
Ensure that leadership communications are clear, consistent, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Collaborate with marketing and content teams to maintain messaging and branding consistency.
Act as an advocate for the company's brand, ensuring that internal communications reflect the organization's identity and core values.

Management of Digital Communication Platforms:


Oversee internal communication channels and manage the use of various platforms such as the company intranet, mobile applications, and email distribution lists to foster effective communication, collaboration, and engagement within the organization.

Manage the creation and updating of content for intranet and app-based platforms, including news articles, announcements, event calendars, and resource libraries.

Ensure content is relevant, accurate, and aligned with organizational objectives and values.

Training and Development for Regional Internal Communications:
Collaborate with regional, divisional, and local teams to implement consistent strategies that align with national objectives, maximizing effectiveness and efficiency while promoting internal events and activities to enhance the employee experience.Provide training and guidance to managers and employees on effective internal communication practices.
Encourage best practices in internal communications throughout the organization.
Complete additional responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, organizational communication, or a related field is required.
Advanced degrees or certifications in communications or related disciplines are advantageous.
A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in marketing, communications, human resources, or a related field.
At least four (4) years of experience in a team management or leadership role.
Advanced knowledge of contemporary internal communications strategies and platforms.
Familiarity with modern intranet and app-based platforms is a plus.
Experience in the AEC industry or a similar field is preferred but not mandatory.

Commitment to developing and maintaining a strong understanding of the organizational structure, affiliates, strategic initiatives, and culture.

Proven ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive internal communication strategies aligned with organizational objectives and tailored to regional and divisional needs.

Experience in supporting organizational change initiatives and effectively communicating changes to employees in a positive and supportive manner.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, including the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging communication materials for diverse audiences.

Demonstrated creativity and innovation in developing engaging internal communication campaigns, initiatives, and materials that capture employees' attention and drive engagement.

Understanding of cultural nuances and diversity considerations within a global or regional workforce, with the ability to tailor communication approaches accordingly.

Proficiency in utilizing digital communication tools and platforms, including intranet systems, email marketing software, and collaboration platforms, to disseminate information effectively and engage employees.

Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new tools and platforms to enhance internal communication effectiveness.

Strong interpersonal skills are crucial for building relationships and collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders, regional leadership, and employees at all levels of the organization.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in analyzing data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of internal communication initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
