Position Overview: This role involves providing guidance and support to Government leaders in the establishment and execution of the EUCOM Joint Exercise Program. The focus is on creating effective, reliable, and adaptive joint exercise support to enhance EUCOM staff training across various warfighting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the execution of exercises in specialized domains, ensuring alignment with warfighting functions.
  • Collaborate closely with EUCOM J7 to deliver customized support for Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) events.
  • Leverage military expertise alongside technical skills to develop, refine, and exercise optimized war and contingency plans.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in relevant warfighting functions to support exercise programs and staff training objectives.
  • Deliver technical services as required to assist in assessments, analyses, and operational design.
  • Offer analytical and technical support for the planning, preparation, rehearsal, execution, and evaluation of computer-aided joint and combined training events and exercises.
  • Assist in planning conferences for the Joint Exercise Program (JEP), scenario development, synchronization workshops, and joint simulations event tests.
  • Support operations of joint exercise control groups, facilitated after-action reviews, senior leader seminars, interoperability workshops, and table-top exercises.
  • Engage in multinational collaboration efforts, providing support to both Department of Defense (DoD) and non-DoD entities.
  • Utilize the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) alongside the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) and the Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS) to gather, analyze, store, and disseminate data essential for the implementation of the Joint Training System (JTS) and to maintain a command joint training program.
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of the organizational mission, functions, command relationships, and administrative processes to enhance support for the warfighting command.
  • Review proposed directives to ensure alignment with command guidance.
  • Evaluate existing doctrines and procedures to confirm compliance with organizational objectives, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Complete administrative and coordination tasks related to Joint Doctrine and Joint TTPs.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or completion of an advanced U.S. military officer-training course is preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience within the U.S. Department of Defense Program, which may include operations, logistics, intelligence, simulations, assessments (ORSA), or plans, strategy, and policy.
  • At least three years of Joint experience (EUCOM preferred) or NATO experience.
