Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with customers and field service mechanics to identify required maintenance and provide expert advice on necessary services.
  • Compute costs of replacement parts and labor to restore lift trucks to customer-specified conditions.
  • Estimate costs of mechanical, electrical, or other repairs and enter itemized estimates on service orders.
  • Process parts and service sales orders in our computer system for invoicing.
  • Ensure all paperwork relevant to each lift truck folder is scanned and kept current.
  • Manage service personnel's time and submit reports to the Louisville contact as required.
  • Perform safety coordinator duties as assigned by the Louisville Safety Director.
  • Maintain files and records of all SSI-owned vehicles, including drivers, insurance, truck expenses, recall notices, tags, location, and maintenance.
  • Audit all expenses and purchases for service personnel at the Service Center and create reports on service mechanic sales, call-in sales, and expenses.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Experience in the parts and service industry, with a focus on coordinating service responsibilities with service technicians and parts personnel.
  • Previous experience in a customer service-oriented role is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record to be insurable by corporate insurance carrier.
