Scope of Work
The Registered Nurse (RN) operates within the framework established by the ANA, employing the nursing process to deliver professional care. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and facilitating patient discharge while adhering to patient-family centered care principles.
The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care under the guidance of Nurse Leaders, in accordance with Corewell Health's policies and procedures. The role emphasizes the importance of nursing care and the collaboration with patients and families to enhance patient outcomes.
The RN collaborates with patients and families to incorporate their input and goals into the care plan, developing educational strategies tailored to their needs and documenting this learning in the health record.

Qualifications
Applicants must possess an Associate's or Diploma in Nursing. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required within five years for new graduates or nurses with less than one year of experience. Candidates from non-accredited nursing programs must have at least one year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed healthcare role, along with successful completion of the NCLEX examination.
Current certifications required include MI Registered Nurse (RN) and Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional certifications such as ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC are required within specified timeframes after hire.
Work Environment
This position is full-time, primarily on the night shift, with a weekly schedule of 36 hours. The RN will work every third weekend.
