Clinical Laboratory Scientist III

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist III to join our team at Methodist Hospital. As a key member of our Laboratory Department, you will be responsible for performing complex medical laboratory tests, analyzing results, and ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Test Performance and Analysis: Perform moderate and high complexity testing, analyze results, and assume accountability for accuracy.
- Instrumentation and Technology: Anticipate and evaluate the need for new methods, instrumentation, and technology to meet customer needs, cost-benefit, and revenue generation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with accrediting agencies and regulatory standards.
- Project Management: Manage assigned projects, including developing plans, coordinating resources, setting timelines, and completing projects within established limits.
- Quality Control and Maintenance: Understand, perform, and practice quality control management, including running controls, evaluating data, documentation, and taking corrective action as required.
- Equipment Maintenance: Understand, perform, and practice preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot, and take corrective action.
- Education and Experience: Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred. 5 years of experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting required.
- Certifications: MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MLT(ASCP), MLT(HEW). Certification waived for those with 10+ years of lab experience.
