Job Summary

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and treatment in emergency and non-emergency situations. As a member of the Global Medical Response team, you will respond to medical emergencies, deliver compassionate care, and work collaboratively with other responders to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow established medical treatment protocols and respond to emergency situations with confidence and expertise.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to risk and safety policies.
  • Develop strong knowledge of local street layouts and number systems to quickly locate addresses.
  • Perform routine checks to ensure the ambulance is in a state of mechanical readiness.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other responders to provide empathetic and compassionate care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and services rendered.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.
  • State EMT certification and CPR/BLS certifications are required.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, strong listening and comprehension abilities, and adaptability to quickly evolving situations are essential.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands

The EMT role requires working in a fast-paced environment with extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be exposed to moderate noise levels and may work in poorly lit environments. Routine lifting of more than 200 pounds with assistance is required, as well as pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, carrying, typing, and stair climbing.
