Graves Foods is seeking a skilled Human Resources Generalist to enhance our dedicated HR team. Our focus is on understanding employee needs, providing effective support, and cultivating a positive workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement personnel policies and procedures, offering guidance for operational needs.
- Contribute to the establishment of HR objectives and systems, including metrics and reporting for organizational requirements.
- Oversee benefits administration, compensation structures, and employee performance initiatives.
- Propose innovative procedures and policies to enhance employee satisfaction and HR efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to local and national employment regulations, updating policies as necessary.
Essential Duties:
- Coordinate onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires through collaboration with various departments.
- Manage administrative tasks related to onboarding, orientations, and exit interviews, including data management in HRIS.
- Provide comprehensive HR advisory services to staff, addressing matters related to health, conduct, grievances, and organizational changes.
- Act as a backup for payroll processing, managing updates to employee records and compensation adjustments.
- Assist in maintaining the employee handbook and organizational documentation, contributing to policy formulation.
- Support multiple locations as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in a human resources generalist role within a sizable organization.
- Experience in payroll processing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to ethical practices.
- Problem-solving abilities and a solid understanding of HR policies.
- Familiarity with payroll systems and knowledge of relevant software.
- Proficient in HRIS with the capacity to learn new systems.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated success in an HR department.
- Detail-oriented with a resourceful approach.
Compensation: Salary range of $60,000 - $75,000 based on experience.
