Job Description

At Providence Health & Services, we are seeking a visionary Chief Nursing Officer to lead our nursing team in the North Puget Sound region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the transformation of nursing and interdisciplinary care delivery across all settings of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transformational Leadership: Provide inspirational leadership to our nursing team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Clinical Expertise: Demonstrate expert knowledge of nursing and interdisciplinary practice, ensuring high-quality patient care and outcomes.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to improve patient safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Build strong relationships with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and stakeholders to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Quality Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives to drive excellence in patient care and reduce variation in clinical practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Certification: Current, active, and unencumbered RN license in the primary state of employment. Specialty certification (CENP, NEA-BC) preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience with shared leadership structure and achieving and sustaining Magnet certification.
