The Opportunity

Our business purpose is to restore health and enhance quality of life through device and management solutions for Structural Heart disease treatment. We strive to lead our markets by providing solutions that advance the standard of care.

This role plays a crucial part in our trial and commercial sales process, collaborating with the Territory Manager to educate interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and hybrid OR/cath lab personnel on safe and effective TAVI product use. The Clinical Sales Specialist will demonstrate expertise in our TAVI clinical and commercial product portfolio, procedure & therapy to achieve best-in-class patient outcomes, advancing clinical evidence, and commercial market share.

This position may be hired at various levels depending on the candidate's experience and may require more than 50% travel based on staffing and regional demands. The CSS will report to the Regional Sales Director, receiving guidance from the Territory Manager on daily activities.

Responsibilities

This position encompasses several key responsibilities, including:

  • Completing internal training on hemodynamics, ECG, angiography, echo, and CT imaging modalities and obtaining case support and proctor delegate authorizations.
  • Providing active clinical trial and commercial case support, demonstrating excellence in procedural success rates and patient outcomes.
  • Assisting in sterile procedures, providing TAVI valve loading, and training instruction to trial and commercial customers.
  • Using Pie Medical 3Mensio CT software to provide customers with CT valve sizing analysis.
  • Engaging with trial sites and participating in subject selection committee calls.
  • Leading customer didactic education sessions for account activation before first implants.
  • Participating in pre-case planning and debriefing of heart teams pre- and post-procedure, as well as providing ongoing education on proper in-service levels.
  • Properly managing trial and commercial inventory acquisition and field trunk stock.
  • Documenting as required for quality assurance initiatives.
  • Co-developing commercial business plans with the Territory Manager.
  • Supporting internal/external quarterly business reviews with the Territory Manager.
  • Entering data into Salesforce and Mentor software for customer case support management.
  • Learning commercial data analytics resources and tools for effective customer experience.
  • Supporting customer engagement strategies with the Territory Manager.
  • Demonstrating competency with marketing messaging, clinical evidence, and medical education portfolios.
  • Completing sales enablement training on professional selling skills and challenger methodology.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of the TAVI market, industry insights, and competitive landscape.
  • Participating in team meetings, conventions, and national sales meetings as requested.
  • Completing vendor credentialing processes for hospital access when necessary.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor of Science or Arts college degree or equivalent clinical degree (e.g., RCIS, Certified Cardiology Technician, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Transcatheter Cardiovascular Surgical/Scrub technician, Physician Assistant).
  • At least 6 years of clinical work experience in hospitals or the medical device industry, with strong clinical backgrounds and products used in interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, endovascular/TEVAR/EVAR/TCAR, or having supported 100+ TAVI cases.
  • Verification of satisfying all vendor credentialing requirements, which may include COVID-19 vaccination. If needed, accommodations will be explored.

Estimated Salary: $74,500 - $147,000 per annum
