About the JobWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Orthotic Fitter - Mobility Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide patient care through the provision and adjustment of off-the-shelf and pre-fabricated orthoses. You will work collaboratively with certified clinicians to evaluate and analyze patients' orthotic needs, examine and assess their conditions, and perform fittings and execute minor modifications as necessary.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as a team member. You will be responsible for providing detailed clinical notes, assisting with reimbursement activities, and following up with patients and physicians to monitor progress and address concerns.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with certified clinicians to evaluate and analyze patients' orthotic needs
- Examine and assess patients' conditions related to disease and functional impairment
- Perform fittings and execute minor modifications as necessary
- Evaluate orthotic devices on patients, ensuring proper fit, functionality, medical efficacy, and quality
- Instruct patients on the use and care of orthopedic devices
- Identify and resolve any issues to ensure patient satisfaction with provided devices
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or GED
- A valid driver's license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures
- Preferred experience as an Allied Health Professional (PTA, OTA, Athletic trainer, etc.) or Orthotic or Soft Goods Fitter

- $55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience
