Role Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the third-party fund administrator, reviewing financial statements and workpapers, including NAV calculations, footnotes, and performance metrics, ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards.
  • Prepare preliminary calculations for management fees and fund expense summaries.
  • Oversee the preparation, distribution, and monitoring of capital calls and distributions, reviewing fee calculations and expense allocations as outlined in fund agreements.
  • Assist with audits and necessary regulatory filings.
  • Support the onboarding process for new funds with the fund administrator.
  • Prepare and/or review responses to inquiries from investors and internal/external parties.
  • Review fund agreements, Private Placement Memorandums (PPMs), and other relevant fund documentation.
  • Assist in the monthly and annual closing processes for the management company.
  • Process invoices for weekly accounts payable and initiate wire transfers.
  • Prepare monthly invoices for intercompany reimbursements.
  • Conduct weekly cash reconciliations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Prior experience in fund accounting or public accounting (Audit/Assurance, Advisory, or Partnership Tax) with alternative investment clients is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in reviewing and preparing financial statements.
  • Experience with accounting software; QuickBooks is preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills (vlookup, sumifs, pivot tables).
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to process information quickly and accurately with great attention to detail.
  • A keen interest in Private Equity.
  • CPA designation is preferred.
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Compensation and Benefits:

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 USD. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as location, education, skills, training, and experience. This role may also qualify for an annual discretionary bonus.
