Job Overview

The Senior Technology Support Engineer is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the computerized systems and network infrastructure across various departments. This role involves diagnosing issues, enhancing system performance, and ensuring security measures are in place. Key responsibilities include programming, testing, and deploying software applications tailored to user requirements; guiding users on system functionalities, capacities, and troubleshooting; coordinating project specifications and timelines; assessing vendor proposals; and offering recommendations to boost system efficiency and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain computers and peripheral devices while supporting diverse technology platforms.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to technology equipment, software, databases, and networks; research technological solutions as needed.
  • Monitor network activity, identifying and addressing issues and bottlenecks.
  • Provide technical assistance to end-users, addressing hardware and software malfunctions, and training staff on technology usage.
  • Set up new computers, update operating systems, and install necessary software.
  • Manage employee access badges, including enabling, modifying, or deactivating access.
  • Oversee surveillance camera access, troubleshoot operations, and manage security footage requests.
  • Assist employees with issues related to PCs, printers, and scanners.
  • Maintain logs and records of daily activities and manage databases and files.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications:
  • A+ Certification is required.
