Key Responsibilities:

  • Embrace patient-first values while assisting individuals with their needs
  • Welcome patients warmly and with empathy
  • Accurately measure and document patient vital signs in the electronic health record
  • Prepare patients for medical examinations
  • Act as a Health Educator within the Patient-Centered Medical Home model
  • Secure prior authorizations and pre-certifications for necessary procedures or tests
  • Dispose of contaminated materials and manage biohazard waste appropriately
  • Ensure medical instruments are sterilized as required
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms
  • Collaborate with colleagues to manage supplies and equipment
  • Participate in nursing meetings and ongoing educational opportunities
  • Flexibility to assist in other office locations as needed
  • Manage vaccine and medication pickups as necessary
  • Communicate lab results to patients effectively
  • Conduct regular customer service checks on patients
  • Monitor and replace sharps containers and biohazard trash
  • Adhere to Holston Medical Group's policies and procedures
  • Maintain open communication with healthcare providers to address patient needs
  • Report office-related issues to the Nurse Manager and Regional Operations Manager
  • Ensure all medical equipment is functional and ready for use
  • Mentor and orient new nursing staff members
  • Keep accurate records for vaccinations in compliance with Health Department standards
  • Uphold confidentiality regarding personnel and patient information
  • Assist in enrolling patients in myHMG as directed

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Current LPN license in the state of employment
  • 0-2 years of experience as an LPN
  • CPR certification is mandatory
  • Excellent communication skills are essential
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
