Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize patient-first values to assist individuals with their healthcare needs
  • Welcome patients warmly and with a friendly demeanor
  • Accurately measure and document patient vital signs in the electronic health record
  • Prepare patients for medical examinations
  • Act as a Health Educator as needed within the Patient-Centered Medical Home model

  • Ensure sterilization of medical instruments as required
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of examination rooms
  • Oversee inventory of supplies and equipment, collaborating with colleagues to ensure availability
  • Participate in nursing meetings and continuing education opportunities
  • Flexibility to assist in other office locations as needed
  • Manage vaccine and medication pickups as necessary
  • Communicate lab results to patients, both normal and abnormal
  • Conduct customer service checks on patients regularly
  • Change sharps containers and manage biohazard waste
  • Adhere to Holston Medical Group's policies and procedures
  • Maintain open communication with healthcare providers to address patient needs
  • Report office issues to the Nurse Manager and Regional Operations Manager
  • Ensure operational readiness of medical equipment (e.g., crash cart, defibrillator)
  • Mentor and orient new nursing staff to the office environment
  • Maintain accurate records for vaccinations administered to children
  • Ensure clinical areas meet site visit standards
  • Uphold strict confidentiality regarding personnel and patient information
  • Assist in enrolling patients in the myHMG system as directed

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • LPN license valid in the state of employment
  • 0-2 years of experience as an LPN
  • Current CPR certification
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
