Parks Lifeguard

Guilford County is seeking a qualified Parks Lifeguard to join our team. As a Parks Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our pool facilities and providing excellent customer service to our patrons.

• Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the public.
• Provide excellent customer service to pool patrons, including answering questions and responding to complaints.
• Perform basic cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing the pool area.
• Identify and report any hazards or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor.
• Participate in continuing education and training to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on industry best practices.

• American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or comparable.
• CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification.
• First Aid Certification.
• Reliable transportation.

The Parks Lifeguard will work primarily outdoors in uncontrolled climates with exposure to natural elements and high temperatures. The position requires standing for long periods, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and performing basic rescue techniques and emergency procedures.
