Parks Lifeguard

Guilford County is seeking a qualified Parks Lifeguard to join our team. As a Parks Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of pool patrons and enforcing rules and regulations at our County Parks pool facilities.

• Enforce pool rules and regulations, monitor activities, and respond to emergencies.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and respond to complaints.
• Perform basic cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing.
• Identify and report hazards, and participate in continuing education and training.
• Promote water safety awareness and maintain a professional attitude.

• American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or comparable.
• CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification.
• First Aid Certification.
• Reliable transportation.

Work is primarily outside in uncontrolled climates with exposure to natural elements and high temperatures or hazardous conditions. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, transcription, and data entry at a computer terminal.

This position may require driving for county business, and motor vehicle reports may be verified for a valid driver's license and compatible driving record.
