Admissions Counselor Job Description

Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) is seeking a highly motivated and organized Admissions Counselor to join our team. As an Admissions Counselor, you will play a critical role in recruiting and enrolling qualified students, while providing exceptional customer service and support to prospective students and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment and Enrollment: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to meet enrollment goals, while maintaining a strong understanding of MSOE's academic programs and services.
  • Prospective Student Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, their families, and high school personnel to provide a positive and supportive experience throughout the admission process.
  • Admission Process Management: Ensure the integrity of the admission process, while adhering to MSOE's established policies and procedures.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with prospective students, their families, and internal stakeholders to provide timely and accurate information, while fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong understanding of higher education and admission processes.

Work Environment: This role operates in a professional office environment, with occasional travel required to represent MSOE at recruitment events and visit high schools.
