Senior Structural Engineering Manager

Position Overview
In this role, you will oversee and guide a team of engineers and designers while working from a designated office location. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical leadership to a group of professionals, facilitating their growth and development. You will manage the planning, budgeting, organization, and oversight of a comprehensive engineering program, which may encompass projects valued up to $200 million. Your role will involve accountability for various assets, including staff, schedules, budgets, and work estimates.
Work Environment
This position is based in the KBR office, offering a flexible work schedule that includes both remote and in-office days.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing technical content for structural drawings related to steel and concrete construction.
- Conducting structural calculations for both steel and concrete elements.
- Designing foundations, including spread footings, piles, and drilled shafts.
- Drafting construction specifications.
- Providing technical assistance during the construction phase for all structural tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
- Possession of a Professional Engineer License (PE) or the ability to secure one within six months of employment.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in the field of structural engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capability to lead a small to medium-sized team to fulfill project commitments.
- Experience in virtual team collaboration to support interoffice project execution.
