Job Title: Senior Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team at Hired by Matrix, Inc. As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex control systems for industrial processes and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement automation solutions using PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA platforms.
  • Develop and maintain control system architecture, selecting components, detailing schematic diagrams, and system documentation.
  • Program controllers (PLC, DCS, RTU), process visualization (HMI/SCADA), and develop databases for archiving/displaying historical system data.
  • Implement and commission control systems at client facilities.
  • Lead and guide lower-level engineers and technicians in the design and implementation of control systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 15+ years of experience in automation solutions, with expertise in PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of controller programming languages, such as Ladder, Sequential Function Chart, Structured Text, and others.
  • Experience with industrial networking, including Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, and others.
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
