Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Goldfish Swim School. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our swim school, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and control daily operations to ensure compliance with Goldfish Swim School standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and department managers to achieve daily tasks and goals.
  • Manage staff to ensure high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction.
  • Interact with Deck Supervisors and Golden Teachers on issues related to class scheduling, student progress, customer service, and employee performance and training.
  • Provide sales and marketing training to qualified sales staff.
  • Oversee the retail and vending departments to ensure a proper mix of products and pricing.
  • Train and oversee private party staff to maintain Goldfish Swim School standard operating procedures.
  • Gain knowledge and experience in all technology platforms to achieve a high level of competence in bookings, class scheduling, reporting, and administrative functions.
  • Gain a high level of knowledge and experience in Goldfish Swim School pool operations to ensure understanding and satisfaction of Goldfish members.
  • Initiate and oversee workplace culture and employee interaction, maintaining a high level of employee satisfaction.
  • Direct and oversee the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan and all safety procedures, training all current staff on the Goldfish Swim School EAP.
  • Maintain current certifications and stay up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider required.
  • Two or more years of management experience preferred; two or more years as a swimming instructor preferred.
  • Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and first aid certification required; shallow water attendant highly recommended.
Work Environment

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.

Compensation

$28.00 - $31.00 per hour.
