Engineering and Compliance Specialist

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with contracts, regulatory codes, specifications, rules, licenses, standards, policies, and procedures. The successful candidate will review plans and specifications, prepare project estimates, and ensure quality and proper environmental management procedures.
The position involves conducting site visits to collect data, evaluating progress, and noting field conditions. Additionally, the individual will provide technical interpretation and explanation of information and policies and procedures to various stakeholders, including the public, County staff, officials, developers, designers, architects, engineers, contractors, and representatives of outside agencies.
This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to interpret maps, plans, specifications, standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory codes is essential. Experience with computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), Geographic Information System (GIS), and other related electronic equipment is also desirable.
