Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Specialist to join our team at Parintec. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and experience with document management systems.

The Software Engineering Specialist will be responsible for assisting and leading in the support and implementation of engineering software within the Department. This includes:

  • Assisting Department personnel in the implementation of new engineering software
  • Serving as one of the Administrators for the Department's Engineering Document Management system (Bentley ProjectWise)
  • Supporting the Department's electronic file exchange tool (Bentley ProjectWise Deliverables Management) for internal and external staff
  • Providing day-to-day user support
  • Maintaining the Department's Engineering Software standards and documentation
  • Developing and conducting engineering software user training sessions
  • Documenting and revising existing and new business processes to meet new or revised engineering software requirements
  • Developing engineering software best practices
  • Investigating new and emerging engineering technology and making recommendations to Department personnel and management for implementation

The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and planning skills, with a strong background in software engineering and experience with document management systems. They will also have the ability to develop and conduct training sessions, document and revise business processes, and investigate new and emerging engineering technology.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Required experience using/supporting document management systems such as Bentley ProjectWise
  • Competent in the use of MS Office suite
  • Experience developing training materials and conducting training sessions
  • Experience providing customer support
  • Experience in developing technical documentation
  • Experience working in an Architectural or Engineering environment
