Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

The Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. As a primary care provider, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients, particularly those in vulnerable populations.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary care to patients in both school-based health center (SBHC) settings and outpatient primary care. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care, following evidence-based approaches and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver direct primary care, including preventative services, acute care, and management of chronic illness, to public school students and assigned pediatric and adult patients.
- Work closely with the clinical and educational team to provide patient care and instruct and assist other team members in management of patient care.
- Support a work environment that is responsible and sensitive to the needs of a diverse staff and clients.
- Follow established practice standards and current evidence-based clinical practices and guidelines.
- Consult with physician partners and refer patients with complex or dynamic problems to subspecialty care, as appropriate.
- Maintain and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) in a systematic format and complete required documentation within the specified amount of time expected by the Clinical Director.
- Ensure patient records are kept confidential consistent with Health Center policies and procedures, Joint Commission, and HIPAA standards.
- Attend trainings, weekly Provider and Team meetings, and collaborate on practice, administrative, and quality improvement projects, as assigned by the Clinical Director.
- Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to Nurse Practitioner, Medical, and Physician Assistant students by mutual agreement with the Clinical Director.
- May work a fluctuating schedule, including days, evenings, weekend shifts, and holidays according to the schedule approved by the Clinical Director.
- 2 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner in a Primary Care or Related Environment.
- Master's Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Active, Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner License in Massachusetts.
- Ability to see all ages (newborns, toddlers, children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics).
- The Health Center requires all employees to have the most recent COVID-19 Booster and the yearly Flu Vaccine.
Competitive salary range: $105,000-$115,000/yr for full-time.
Qualifies for the HRSA Loan Repayment Program.
