We are seeking a highly skilled Asphalt Plant Operator to join our team at Blythe Construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our hot mix asphalt mixing plants.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain hot mix asphalt mixing plants to ensure high-quality production.
- Assist in the management of plant operations, including inventory control and supply chain management.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control Department to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment to minimize downtime.
- Communicate effectively with road crews, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with plant maintenance, including cleaning and housekeeping.
- Three to five years of experience in asphalt plant operations, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of asphalt production processes, safety protocols, and industry regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, work at heights, and withstand extreme weather conditions.
