Key Responsibilities:- Plan, design, and analyze data on roadway/transportation engineering projects.
- Prepare studies with associated drawings, maps, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Calculate quantities and prepare construction cost estimates.
- Prepare construction drawings.
- Prepare specifications.
- Conduct site visits and report findings to supervisory engineers and/or project managers.
- Assist project managers and more experienced engineers in ensuring project/task schedules and budgets are met.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure timely and accurate document or drawing preparation.
- Responsible for progressing knowledge through completion of various training initiatives: attending seminars; reviewing professional publications; and attending in-house training courses.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Knowledgeable in Autodesk AutoCAD software is preferred. Experience in other Autodesk products is acceptable.
- Must demonstrate the ability to present complex technical concepts to engineers, clients, and public stakeholders.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Must be a self-starter with good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team to meet project schedules and deadlines.
