Nurse Care Specialist

About the Role:
Aequor Technologies is seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical unit, managing a wide range of medical conditions and post-operative care.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, documenting findings accurately and promptly.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring proper dosages and adherence to protocols.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for each patient.
- Provide emotional support and information to patients and their families, ensuring understanding and compliance with treatment plans.
- Respond to medical emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions to stabilize patients and prevent complications.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of medical-surgical nursing practices, including patient care, medication administration, and emergency response.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and hospital information systems for accurate documentation and data management.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring patients, moving medical equipment, and standing for long periods.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in good standing and a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Med Surg Nurse or in a similar role.

Special Requirements:
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Experience with EPIC or similar charting systems.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position with a 12-hour shift schedule. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
