Job Title: Patient Safety Attendant

Overview:

Novant Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Safety Attendant to join our team. As a Patient Safety Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Observe patients for harmful and/or dangerous behaviors and report any concerns to the Nurse Manager or Professional Registered Nurse.
  • Perform a variety of patient care activities to meet the daily personal needs and comfort of the patient.
  • Actively observe the patient at all times and maintain an uninterrupted line of sight with the patient.
  • Maintain patient safety at all times and follow established protocols for patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with the patient care team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance knowledge and skills in patient safety and care.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • American Heart Association HS (Heart Saver) certification required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
