Description

Rothman Orthopaedics is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will operate radiographic equipment to produce diagnostic radiographic images according to various physician protocols and perform epidural procedures.

You will assume responsibilities of designated areas and assist other departments when available. If you are qualified for and interested in this role, please apply.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and escort patients to the appropriate room.
  • Obtain patient history to ensure proper scheduling.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the exam and answering their questions.
  • Maintain patient comfort and safety while removing obscuring objects from the area of interest.
  • Provide radiation protection for patients, self, and others in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • Select proper technical factors according to patient size and produce/develop quality radiographs.
  • Critique radiographs and make technical adjustments as necessary.
  • Assist during fluoroscopic procedures, including epidural steroid injections and hip aspirations.
  • Report equipment problems to department supervisor.
  • Participate in training of new employees.
  • Maintain safe radiologic practice per standards adapted and implemented by x-ray quality assurance policies.
Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Must have active, valid registration and continued certification through the ARRT.
  • New York and New Jersey candidates must have active, valid radiology licensure in their respective states.
  • Florida candidates must have active, valid Florida CRT licensure.
  • Knowledge of x-ray procedures and epidural procedures required.
  • Ability to operate all equipment and machinery, including processors and computer systems, required.
