Job Summary

Rothman Orthopaedics is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Willow Grove and Blue Bell, PA offices. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will operate radiographic equipment to produce diagnostic radiographic images according to various physician protocols and perform epidural procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets and escorts patients to the appropriate room.
  • Obtains patient history to ensure proper scheduling.
  • Prepares patients for procedures by explaining the exam and answering their questions.
  • Maintains patient comfort and safety while removing obscuring objects from the area of interest.
  • Provides radiation protection for patients, self, and others in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • Selects proper technical factors according to patient size and produces/develops quality radiographs.
  • Critiques radiographs and makes technical adjustments as necessary.
  • Assists during fluoroscopic procedures, including epidural steroid injections and hip aspirations.
  • Reports equipment problems to department supervisor.
  • Participates in training of new employees.
  • Maintains safe radiologic practice per standards adapted and implemented by x-ray quality assurance policies.
Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Must have active, valid registration and continued certification through the ARRT.
  • Knowledge of x-ray procedures and epidural procedures required.
  • Ability to operate all equipment and machinery, including processors and computer systems, required.
