Job Title: Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced RN to provide high-quality patient care in our ICU. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing theory and practice, with the ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.

Responsibilities:
  • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and provide individualized care to meet their unique needs.
  • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
  • Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures.
  • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and observe their physiological manifestations, intervening when necessary.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products.
  • Deliver competent patient care and interact with patients and families to share care plans while hospitalized.
  • Inform patients and families of hospital procedures and make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
  • Delegate tasks to support staff and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Current RN License or a Multistate Compact RN
  • Minimum of 1 Year of Experience in ICU Nursing
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
  • Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
  • Basic computer skills
