Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our shoppers and donors
  • Accurately manage personal cash drawer, opening, closing, and balancing
  • Work to understand the Point of Sales system and complete sales effectively and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean work environment at the cash register and the rest of the store
  • Maintain a friendly demeanor, greeting customers and offering assistance when needed
  • Follow all Salvation Army policies regarding the sale of merchandise
  • Keep floor stocked and put new merchandise out, working to meet production goals as needed
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or currently pursuing
  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of the Point of Sales System and other programs adopted by The Salvation Army
  • Ability to give change accurately
