Job Role:

As a LabVIEW Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing automated test applications for test requirements using real-time NI-LabVIEW development experience and Teststand. You will work with engineering teams to understand requirements and subsequent testing activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop automated test applications using LabVIEW and Teststand
  • Implement and incorporate various test communication protocols (e.g. CAN, LIN, UDP, TCP/IP)
  • Design and develop test benches using National Instruments tools
  • Work with cross-discipline engineering staff to ensure testability of systems requirements
  • Creation of test plans and protocols to guide testing activities
  • Support in the creation of required test fixtures
  • Ensure that test equipment is prepared and available for upcoming test activities
  • Execution of tests according to documented test protocols
  • Real-time evaluation and documenting of results for status reporting to project management
Requirements:
  • Technical or university degree or equivalent testing engineering experience
  • 5 or more years of experience in automated testing processes
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with verification and validation test engineering role in a typical product development process
  • Ability to work with engineering teams to understand requirements and subsequent testing activities
Desired Skills:
  • ISO Medical Equipment test experience, specifically an understanding of AED functions and parameters
  • Experience in automated testing processes to improve test efficiencies
  • Knowledgeable in test set up and fixture creation to aide engineering staff in the development of test support structure
  • Test scheduling and scoping to support project and program management estimates
