Job Summary

As a Patient Access Representative at Westfields Hospital & Clinic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our patient access team. Your primary responsibilities will include scheduling patients, verifying demographics and insurance coverage, and accurately registering and checking in patients for their appointments.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately and appropriately schedule patients for their appointments
Verify patient demographics and insurance coverage
Register and check in patients for their appointments
Collect and post patient co-pays/deductibles/balances consistently and accurately
Assist patients with follow-up appointments at check-out

Work Schedule

The standard schedule for this position is 2:30-11pm, with some weekdays and every other weekend required. This position is located in the ER and requires a holiday rotation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent experience. A 2-year degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience is preferred. Additionally, you should have a minimum of one year of experience in a hospital or medical clinic setting, as well as experience in customer service and with Microsoft products.
