The National Institute for Children's Health Quality (NICHQ) seeks a skilled Healthcare Quality Improvement Specialist to join its team. As a key member of the Applied Research and Evaluation department, you will play a crucial role in driving dramatic and sustainable improvements in children's health.

This senior-level position requires a deep understanding of applied research and evaluation principles, as well as experience in leading projects in maternal child health. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, project leads, and other stakeholders to design and execute high-quality research initiatives that provide relevant data analysis and recommendations.

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000-$85,000 per year, along with a generous benefits package including US-based remote work, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead applied research and evaluation initiatives across all phases, from planning to reporting and dissemination
  • Provide expert consultation on statistical analysis techniques and qualitative research methods
  • Develop and manage databases, surveys, and other data collection instruments
  • Oversee the development of written summaries, reports, and manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication

To be successful in this role, you should possess a doctoral or master's degree in a relevant field, such as biostatistics, epidemiology, or program evaluation. At least 3 years' work experience in a healthcare or social science setting is required.
