Job Title: Marine Engineering AssistantJob Summary:

The Marine Engineering Assistant will provide technical support to the engineering team in the design and production of marine vessels. This role will assist in the creation of detailed design deliverables, including 2D and 3D models, and will work closely with the manufacturing team to resolve production-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain detailed design deliverables
  • Collaborate with manufacturing team to resolve production issues
  • Assist in determining technical requirements and resource needs
  • Plan, estimate, schedule, and monitor assigned work
  • Track and report progress to commitments
Requirements:
  • Technical skills in computer-aided design (CAD) software and shipbuilding rules and regulations
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Working Conditions:

The Marine Engineering Assistant will work in a clean and comfortable climate-controlled setting with minimal exposure to moving equipment and elements. The noise level is typically quiet. When entering the shipyard, the work environment is not climate-controlled, and there may be exposure to moving equipment and other hazards.
