We currently have an opportunity for a Senior HVAC Engineer at our Marinette, Wisconsin location. POSITION SUMMARYFincantieri Marine Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HVAC Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and review of HVAC systems for building ships. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to supervise and mentor junior engineers.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Lead and oversee the design and drawing review process for HVAC systems in shipbuilding projects.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines in the design and implementation of HVAC systems.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly into ship designs.
Conduct technical evaluations and provide recommendations for system improvements, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements.
Supervise a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation related to HVAC systems.
Participate in meetings with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to discuss project requirements, progress, and technical issues.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in HVAC engineering and shipbuilding industries.
Must abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in HVAC system design, preferably in the maritime or shipbuilding industry.
This requirement can also be met with an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology and 8 years of experience of increasing responsibility in the engineering field of competence, or a High School Diploma or GED and 9 years of experience of increasing responsibility in the engineering field of competence.

SKILLS:
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) and HVAC design tools.
Strong knowledge of HVAC principles, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
Familiarity with classification society rules and regulations (e.g., ABS, DNV, Lloyd's Register) is advantageous.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Must have strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills
Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
Must have ability to maintain confidentiality.
