Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Law Enforcement Officer II to join our team at North Carolina A&T State University. As a key member of our Police and Public Safety department, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce laws and regulations on university property, including traffic control and criminal investigations.
  • Patrol assigned areas to respond to complaints and calls, and to detect and prevent violations of state laws and regulations.
  • Apprehend and arrest individuals committing offenses, and investigate violations or complaints to assess and handle cases.
  • Collect and preserve evidence, and maintain the chain of custody.
  • Testify in court proceedings and perform related work.
Requirements
  • Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency.
  • Two years of experience as a sworn law enforcement officer.
  • Certification as a Law Enforcement Officer in accordance with the provisions of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission.
