About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Apartment Management Consultants. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of our properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure the property's buildings and grounds are well-maintained.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Maintain and manage inventory of supplies and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure all necessary tools are on hand and in good working condition.
- Report any unusual or extraordinary circumstances to management.
- Adhere to OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times.
- Be available to work on an on-call basis to respond to emergency situations.
- Secure the maintenance shop(s) at the close of every workday.
- Remove snow and ice as necessary to ensure safe access to the property.
- Handle lock-outs as a result of evictions and respond to service requests in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Ability to operate various hand tools, including power tools.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Effective communication skills to interact with residents, management, and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Previous experience in property maintenance or a related field.
