We are a leading provider of plasma-based therapies, and we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors, while also contributing to the collection of high-quality plasma that will be used to develop life-changing medicines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent, medical history interview, and physical examination.
  • Evaluate donor reactions and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies.
  • Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when in need of guidance concerning medical or technical issues.
  • Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
  • Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
  • Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-Paramedic.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
  • Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
  • Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
  • Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
About the Role

This is a part-time position, and you will work closely with our team to ensure the smooth operation of our plasma collection center. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for determining donor eligibility, evaluating donor reactions, and referring to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when necessary. You will also support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees and manage employee incidents.
