Job Title: Chemical Process Specialist

Element Staffing Services is recruiting for a QA/QC Chemist for a specialty chemical plant in Houston. The primary responsibility of the QA/QC Chemist is to test hazardous and non-hazardous raw materials and to perform analysis on all final products manufactured.

The Chemist will also participate in intermediate to complex level projects. Candidates with strong analytical skills are preferred.

  • Utilize a variety of analytical methods to test dry and liquid chemical raw materials and blends.
  • Handle hazardous and non-hazardous chemical raw materials for agriculture products, industrial cleaners, and oilfield related chemical products.
  • Calibration, operation, chemical analysis and troubleshooting of instrumentation including Autotitration, HPLC, IC, LC, Potentiometric Titration, pH, Density (Specific Gravity), Viscosity, Surface tension, Interfacial Tension, GC, ICP.
  • Autotitrator experience is a huge plus.
  • Enter data analysis into ERP system for Certificate of Analysis generation.
  • Participate in Lab Organization, Safety and Hygiene.
  • Contribute to MSDS comprehension, general laboratory, and analytical chemistry aptitude.
  • Be able to interpret and adhere to project and process guidelines.
  • Follow Chemical HSE protocols.
  • NPR project assessment, SOP generation & modification, and methods development.
  • This role will be also responsible for following and maintaining all laboratory protocol and duties, samples management and data entry.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by supervisor or Management.
  • Comprehensive level of understanding on analytical chemistry, chemical analysis, or physical analysis of raw materials for industrial use.
