Position Responsibilities:

As a Medication Administration Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to assist in the safe administration of medications to residents, adhering to all regulatory guidelines. Your duties will also include maintaining accurate care records, reporting any changes in residents' health conditions, and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner, ensuring that resident safety and satisfaction remain a top priority.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current and valid Medication Aide/Technician Certification.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Completion of required training in accordance with state regulations.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with medications and the elderly population.
  • Possession of all necessary licenses and certifications as mandated by state authorities, along with adherence to continuing education requirements.
  • Food Handlers Permit as required by state regulations.
  • A genuine compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
  • Ability to function effectively as both a team member and an individual contributor.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the public.
  • Integrity, dependability, and respect for confidentiality and the rights of others.
  • Compliance with all health requirements and successful completion of background checks.
