Job Overview

As a Paramedic with AMR, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care during emergency situations. Our mission is to provide compassionate and professional service while utilizing your skills and expertise to make a meaningful impact on our patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action and appropriate protocol.
  • Utilize medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen devices, and IV fluids, to provide advanced medical care.
  • Develop and utilize triage skills to optimize efficiency during calls.
  • Provide patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements.
  • Lift and move patients as necessary to ensure optimal care.
  • Communicate effectively with receiving facilities to receive medical direction and provide critical information.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • A valid California Driver's License.
  • An Ambulance Driver's License from the DMV.
  • A Medical Examiner's Card or DL51 from the DMV.
  • A State of California Paramedic License.
  • CPR Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • PALS or PEPP certification from the American Heart Association.
  • A clean driving record in compliance with AMR's Safety and Driving policy.
