About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Caring Support Specialist to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network in Covina, CA.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Caring Support Specialist, you will be responsible for promoting their health, safety, and well-being while advocating for their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Daily Routines: Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as outlined in their Individual Program Plan.
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathroom needs, change undergarments and/or clothing if needed, and provide support with daily living activities.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
  • Transportation: Pick up/drop off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).
Requirements:
  • Certification: Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1 & Year 2
  • First Aid/CPR: Must have First Aid/CPR and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
  • Licensure: Must be at least 21 years of age and have a California Driver's License
  • Background Check: Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check
